Venice

Yes, I am still here!
I am sorry I haven’t written for so long. I know I should have, I always wanted to. But now I am in my last year of school, 13th grade, and everything is really busy. So I don’t have a lot of time. And when I have time, I am oftentimes too lazy to write something here. Then I rather just watch TV, or hang out with friends or stuff like that. I bet a lot of you know this feeling and can hopefully understand me. Still I hope some of you still follow this site and are happy to hear something new from me now.
Well, what have I done since the last time I updated you guys here?
I should start with the fact that I went to Venice. I got that trip for my 18th birthday from my mom and her boyfriend. I have a friend who’s two days older than me, but she lives further away, and we couldn’t celebrate together. So our moms had the really great idea to go to Venice around Easter. Just us four girls, my friend, her mom, my mom, and me.
So on March 30 we left for the Saarland, the state in Germany where my friend lives. My moms boyfriend and my brother also came with us, and when we left for Venice on the 2nd of April, they stayed there with my friends boyfriend and her moms boyfriend.
Well, we left for Venice. It was four in the morning. We went with a bus. We drove for 14 hours. Through France, Switzerland and Italy. But then in the afternoon we finally arrived in Venice. Well, our hotel wasn’t directly in Venice, but in a village close to it.
We went to our hotel room and then we had dinner. Afterwards we went to the beach which was right behind our hotel. And then we went to bed, because it had been a long day and we were really tired.
The next day we got up and after breakfast the whole group from our bus went to Venice together by boat. When we arrived there we had a tour guide who showed us the sights and some nice places in Venice.
After she finished, the four of us went around Venice a little bit. We went through the nice little streets and saw some really nice spots and houses. We discovered a nice little market and some interesting stores. Also we went on a gondola which was really amazing. And we had really nice weather. So all in one we had a really nice day in Venice. In the afternoon we went back on the boat and to our hotel.
The next day we went to Venice again. We just went to some other places and shops we hadn’t seen the day before and found some new beautiful spots. Also we found a small really cute Italian supermarket. We had some ice cream, saw a place where they build the gondolas, and I bought a beautiful mask. So that was basically our second day. Everything was so amazing, there was so much to see and everything was so beautiful. When we got back to our hotel in the afternoon, we went to the beach once again. And then after dinner we packed and went to sleep.
On our fourth day we went back to Germany.
When we arrived back there, we stayed at our friends house for two more days. Then we came back to Hannover.
The next day somebody we know had his baptism and so we went there and home with him afterwards to celebrate a little bit.
During the next couple weeks there were a lot of parties on the weekends, because most people in my grade turned eighteen during that time so that was a lot of fun.
Also I had to write and essay for six weeks about the gorillas in our zoo for one of my classes in school. So I went tot the zoo really often to watch the gorillas and everything was really stressful because I had to write this 15 page essay.
